I am a passionate and people-centered healthcare professional with over 16 years of experience in nursing, education, and leadership. In my current role as a Simulation Education Specialist at HealthPartners, I design and deliver innovative simulation-based training programs that strengthen clinical skills, promote psychological safety, and ultimately improve patient outcomes. I genuinely believe that hands-on, experiential learning has the power to transform both individual confidence and organizational culture.

—
As the founder of Social Sim Dynamics, I carry that same belief into every partnership and project. Our mission—“Social Sim Dynamics can help you be the cornerstone of patient quality and safety”—is a reflection of my commitment to supporting professionals in building safer, stronger teams. One example I’m proud of is my collaboration with the Quality Academy Septic Shock project team to vet and elevate a new process; that work was recently accepted for presentation at the Minnesota Hospital Association 2025 Spring Innovation Forum, a space where healthcare leaders come together to share bold ideas and inspire meaningful change.

—
Throughout my career, I’ve been grateful for the partnerships I’ve formed and the feedback that keeps me grounded and motivated. From comments like, “You really brought the patient experience to life,” during a social determinants of health simulation, to colleagues expressing appreciation for the psychologically safe spaces I foster in pediatric in-situ mock codes—I’m reminded daily of why I do this work.

—
I’ve also had the honor of co-developing an 8-hour Workplace Violence Prevention program that trained over 500 mental health, emergency department, and security staff—work that led to me receiving the 2024 Regions Most Valuable Partner Award. I’ve been humbled to receive the President’s Award at HealthPartners as well—an acknowledgment of my contributions to simulation, collaboration, and culture-building across the system. These recognitions, along with my academic foundation—a Master of Science in Nursing (Administration and Organizational Systems Leadership) from Minnesota State University Moorhead and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Bemidji State University—reflect my passion for growth, safety, and strategic leadership.

—
Outside of my professional life, I’m a proud mother of three, always working to strike a meaningful balance between home and career. I bring that same sense of purpose, adaptability, and care to every room I step into. Whether I’m facilitating a simulation, coaching a team, or helping a colleague troubleshoot a challenge, my goal is always the same: to support growth, foster connection, and elevate the standard of care.
